Necessary documents for employment of a foreigner
Types of permits:
- Declaration – Only citizens of Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine can work on the basis of a declaration on assignment of work to a foreigner. This is a simplified procedure. The declaration of assignment of work gives a foreigner the right to perform non-seasonal work for up to 6 months during the next 12 months.
- A foreigner must issue a residence permit (visa) himself in order to be able to work legally in Poland on the basis of a work permit (up to 3 months you can work under a visa-free regime, if such a decision was introduced for this country).
- A seasonal work permit is issued to a foreigner by the headman at the request of the employer. An entry in the register of applications for a seasonal work permit is valid only for 120 days.
